AEMBROSIA DESIGN STUDIO

Aembrosia Design Studio was created to take advantage of my expertise as a designer, craftsman/artisan and creative entrepreneur. Such expertise was mastered as I managed to run my personal brand of embroidered accessories in the last few years.

What can I do for your business?

  • Embroidery, fabric and textile product design. Embroidery specialist, I can also design textiles, accessories, prints and clothings.

  • End-to-end product development specialist, relying on the expertise learned through the management of my personal accessories brand. I have a deep knowledge of textiles, embroidery techniques, clothings and accessories.

  • Development of prototype of handmade embroidery, and other artistic fabric manipulation techniques.

These prototypes can either be used as samples, or be industrialized later.

  • Manufacturing of unique pieces, and limited edition collections, relying on handmade embroidery, and other fabric manipulation techniques.

  • Providing consulting services based on my technical knowledge of embroidery. Specialized in goldwork embroidery and haute couture embroidery, but I can also provide textile-based consulting services.

Craftsmanship as a value: what being (also) an artisan has teached me.

I design with an artisanal approach. I see Craftsmanship as an approach to design, a way of thinking.

The artisan continuously masters his technique, and manages to harmonize both design and technical need, paying respect to the material used and its limits, and don’t try to exceed them; instead, the limit is enhanced as an opportunity of unicity. In the same way, I always try to highlight the inner characteristics of the technique and of the product that I am designing.

As a craftsman, I am aware that practice makes perfect; also, I believe that making mistakes is essential to interact with the raw materials and communicate with them. In fact, it is the raw material itself which show us what we are supposed to do in order to achieve the best result; such a creative process is carried on through trials and errors, trying to find the perfect balance between the technique, the practical needs of the product and the spirit which we would like to instill in it.
